Counterstream Media is a nonprofit media organization that uses journalism and storytelling to challenge harmful narratives and work towards Environmental Justice. Through their podcasts, publications, and live storytelling events, they amplify frontline voices and influence how culture and policy take shape.
Their Story Salons are in-person gatherings that feature environmental & social justice leaders who discuss the current issues of climate and pollution while also discussing strategic collaboration and solutions.
The designs done for each event not only feature the storytellers but some of the causes of the social injustice, pollution and the also highlight the cities where the events take place.

This was the latest event key art that I've worked on for Counterstream Media. This was for their Story Salon event held in New York City, NY during Climate Week. The event featured three powerful storytellers that reflected on the interwoven legacies of land, resistance, and environmental justice.
Based on the creative request, I concepted and created art that highlighted the storytellers and showcased elements of the topics they'd be discussing.

Rooted & Rising: Faith & resilience in the Face of Climate Disaster was a event that featured storytellers gathered in the intersection of faith and climate change. It was held in the iconic Pleasant Zion Missionary Church in Louisiana.
The ask was to create a visual that spoke to that intersectionality. I incorporated elements of both faith and climate change to. The brief also wanted elements to showcase the city where this was being held. So I integrated elements of New Orleans, such as the fleur-de-lis and nature specific to NOLA.
